03/25/04 - WARNER SPEAKS TO POWRACHUTE DEALERS

March 25, 2004 - EAA Executive Vice President Bob Warner spoke at the National Team Powrachute dealer’s meeting held last weekend at the company’s Columbus, Kansas, headquarters. Warner, who was accompanied by Earl Downs, contributor to EAA Sport Pilot & Light-Sport Aircraft magazine, told the 80 dealers in attendance EAA’s views on sport pilot/light-sport aircraft and the effect it would have on manufacturers. Warner also had the opportunity to receive an instructional flight with 2003 Powrachute Dealer of the Year Morris Yoder, Hutchison, Kansas, in one of the company’s two-seat trainers.

Powrachute, a major contributor in the ASTM manufacturers standards powered parachute committee, manufactures FAA Part 103-compliant ultralights as well as two-place trainers that are anticipated to be for the sport pilot market.
