07/21/05 - EAA, LETSFLY FORM LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT PARTNERSHIP

July 20, 2005 - Light sport aircraft (LSA) just became more accessible as a result of a new partnership between EAA and LetsFly. To increase LSA availability, LetsFly offers access to pooled resources that facilitate LSA ownership and operation while mitigating costs. EAA will feature LetsFly on its website, http://www.eaa.org, and will assist in the promotion of its services. By combining their strengths, the organizations aim to revolutionize and simplify the process by which individuals and businesses may seize the opportunities presented by LSAs.

“We are very excited to be working with EAA to make light sport aircraft affordable for everyone. The beneficiaries of this agreement are pilots worldwide and the many flight schools across the country,” said Eldon Corry, president of LetsFly. “EAA brings a wealth of information, discounts, benefits, and services. We understand that membership in EAA is a must for anyone contemplating a sport pilot’s license, which will offer an excellent opportunity for us to make pilots aware of our unique service,” Corry said.

Rick Larsen, EAA vice president of marketing, also emphasized the opportunities the partnership presents to aviators. “LetsFly’s shared ownership program is revolutionary. The organization has not only developed a system to generate better cash flow and profitability for flight schools, but has also created a system to make aircraft ownership available for everyone. We are pleased to work with LetsFly and believe that our combined efforts will be a tremendous benefit to our current and future members.”

The partnership between EAA and LetsFly is logical and beneficial because both organizations are pioneers in their own right. EAA pioneered the light sport aircraft ruling and has succeeded in becoming the leader in recreational aviation. LetsFly pioneered the concept of a broad network of cooperatives and resources allowing for all areas of the industry to be easily accessed.

Plans are under way to research the best light sport aircraft on the market, develop cooperatives in every state, and offer affordable flight time, ownership, and resources worldwide. Individuals with aviation knowledge or firsthand experience with light sport aircraft are encouraged to visit
