03/08/06 - EAA SPORT PILOT TOUR STOPS AT NASHVILLE MAY 6
EAA announced this week it would bring the EAA Sport Pilot Tour to the Nashville, Tennessee, area for a May 6 tour stop. The event will take place at the Smyrna Airport (MQY) and EAA Chapter 162 will serve as event hosts. EAA invites aviation enthusiasts to attend and learn the latest information on sport pilot/light-sport aircraft from the source: EAA's Sport Pilot Team and the top LSA manufacturers.
The tour stop will be centered at the brand new (opening April 1) Smyrna Air Center, located next to MQY's new terminal building. Visit www.sportpilot.org for the official event itinerary as the tour stop approaches.
The Smyrna tour stop is only a week after the Atlanta-area event scheduled for April 29 at Gwinnett County Airport in Lawrenceville, Georgia. During the intervening week, EAA's Ron Wagner and Dan Johnson will travel to several flight schools between Atlanta and Nashville to explain sport pilot's many opportunities to flight school operators. Which will in turn help to develop infrastructure that will allow the new pilot category and aircraft classification to reach its full potential. |
