05/16/07 - EAA’S SPORT PILOT INSTRUCTOR DATABASE SURPASSES 600 INSTRUCTORS
Aspiring sport pilots seeking dual instruction in their area should look no further than EAA’s ever-expanding sport pilot instructor database, which now lists more than 600 flight instructors authorized in airplanes, weight-shift, powered parachutes, gliders and gyroplanes. Chances are there’s a qualified flight instructor nearby.
Any current certificated flight instructor who is a member of EAA or NAFI is eligible to be listed on the site, said Timm Bogenhagen, EAA Aviation Services. “We’ve seen a tremendous growth in the number of people interested in receiving sport pilot instruction, and that is translating to increased activity for instructors willing to provide it,” he said. “I would encourage flight instructors who are current EAA or National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) members to complete the online information form and be included in our database.” |
